Physicians

 

Dr. Anthony received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his internship, residency, pulmonary fellowship and sleep disorders fellowship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep disorders medicine. Dr. Anthony joined Pulmonary Associates in 1996.

 

 

Dr. Baratz joined Pulmonary Associates in 1991 after completing his pulmonary fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He received his degree in medicine from the University of Arizona and completed his internship and residency at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center/University of California, Irvine. Dr. Baratz is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep disorders medicine.

 

Dr. Comp completed his internship and residency at the Southwest Michigan Area Health Education Center after receiving his medical degree from Michigan State University. His pulmonary fellowship was completed at the Phoenix Veterans Administration Medical Center and Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Dr. Comp joined Pulmonary Associates in 1983 and is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.

 

After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in medicine, Dr. Gotfried completed his internship and residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Illinois. He is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep disorders. Dr. Gotfried joined Pulmonary Associates in 1983 following the completion of a pulmonary fellowship at the University of Arizona.

 

Before joining Pulmonary Associates in 2005, Ms. Heaphy’s nursing career included 22 years in varied critical care units such as general intensive care, trauma, neurological intensive care, coronary care and surgical intensive care and four years as an adult nurse practitioner in a longterm care setting. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Phoenix and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner.

After earning her medical degree with honors from Texas Tech University, Dr. Heatly completed her postgraduate training, including her medical residency in internal medicine and pediatrics and pulmonary Critical Care fellowship, at University of Kentucky Medical Center Lexington. Her experience also includes working as The Director of Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at the Valley of the Sun Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Heatly joined Pulmonary Associates in 2000 and is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.

 

Dr. Kunelis graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova-Southwestern University of Health Sciences in Florida. He completed his osteopathic internship at Universal Medical Center in Plantation, Florida and his medical internship, residency and pulmonary fellowship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He was the first D.O. chief resident in internal medicine at Good Samaritan. Dr. Kunelis, who is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease, joined Pulmonary Associates in 1999.

 

Dr. Kyprianou served as the chief pulmonary and critical care fellow at North Shore University Hospital/ New York University School of Medicine, Manhasset, New York. He earned his doctorate in medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies and completed his residency at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens– Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Kyprianou is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep disorders medicine. Dr. Kyprianou is a Fellow of American College Chest Physician, and a Fellow of American Academy Sleep Medicine.

  

 

After completing his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the National Institute of Health and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Liao joined Pulmonary Associates in 2006. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York and completed his medical residency in combined internal medicine and pediatrics at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Liao is a board-certified physician in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics.

 

After earning his medical degree with honors from University of West Indies, Dr. Mathew completed his postgraduate training, including his pulmonary fellowship, at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center/Carl T. Hayden VA. His experience also includes working in the ER and ICU at Banner Good Samaritan and serving as the lead house physician for ventilator-dependent patients at Kindred Hospital. Dr. Mathew joined Pulmonary Associates in 2008 and is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.

 

Ms. Newell received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University. She completed her master’s degree and nurse practitioner’s education at Arizona State University. She worked for six years in internal medicine before joining Pulmonary Associates in 2000. Ms. Newell is nationally certified by the American Nurses’ Association.

 

 

Dr. Ramakrishna was a physician with the State Department of Montana before becoming a member of the medical staff of Pulmonary Associates in 2005. He graduated from Gandhi Medical College, where he also completed his internship and his post-graduate work in general medicine. Dr. Ramakrishna was an internal medicine resident at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois and completed his pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Chicago’s Cook County Hospital. He is board certified in critical care medicine, pulmonary medicine, internal medicine and sleep disorders.

 

Dr. Ross received his degree in medicine from the University of Nebraska and completed his internship, medical residency and pulmonary fellowship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Dr. Ross left his private practice in 1983 to join Pulmonary Associates. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease.
